V1 I was born into a life already determined, it’s already been known, I’ve to work, I’ve to sleep, then repeat Giving me enough that I’ll remain Just to be a link in their chain The one that's tight around our necks & shackled to our arms & to our legs It keeps pulling us through life Every which way (but loose) Until one day we'll be dead And then our children It's on their heads BRIDGE But with my mothers heart, & my daddy's mind A new path I shall find I won't be who they tell me to be How can I? I've a daughter now, who looks up to me! CHORUS & in this world You're either or (An)African Or a Cowboy & you & I will say goodbye Before one of us Shall die & in this life You must decide Do you fall? Or survive & in this world You're either or (An)African Or a Cowboy V2 My brother, he stands tall It ain’t been easy, I recall Silly little boys, they took your toys They took your name, & left you pain Ignorant fucks, I wished them dead So I just pissed on their heads Look at you now, I couldn’t be prouder King of your castle, you heart beats stronger Brother, you won! Mother, our love!

1985 05:02
V1 Skyscrapers replaced the pyramids, in 1985 Reaganomics feeds consumerism, What a time to be alive The slaves still build their temples, under the watchful illuminati eye Worked to death direct from the orders, Of the old rich white guys Got no money Got no friends Got no nothing Got no chance They live! We sleep They're rich We're cheap V2 Thatcher snatched my milk, back in 1985 Broke my country into pieces, fed us lie after lie Does this all seem familiar in 2019? Nothing will ever change no, when God still saves the Queen! Got no money..... V3 History repeats itself, if we don't learn from the past, Religion can't scare us, if no one goes to mass Pharaohs have no kingdoms, if knowledge is where we go. How much more can you take? Before you say no! Got no money.....
3.
V1 Lemme tell you about a thing I know Lemme tell you now, let me let you know I've seen it all through these here eyes Seen it all unfold, heard all the lies Empty promises & empty threats Empty anything on us, to keep us in check The 1% who run this party, They do what they want, and that's just for starters More for them, less for you 'Lesser' people, have more to do! Life too short, to be unhappy Time to gate crash, their big party Help yourself, before you go any further Be a friend & respect your brother And when it's all said and done - CHORUS - Take the money & run! x 4 V2 I live in a town where my vote means shit! I live on a land that’s governed by pigs! I tried my best ma, to try fit in Worked real hard, for all our sins I live in a world ruled by fear I live in a time where the end is near Time to help myself & go for the money And if I get caught, I won't be sorry I'll take my chance, the time is now And when it's all done, I'll take my bow Nothing gona stop me now, Cos I'm the boss, of this here town And you'll know me from what I do Cos if I don't, then I'm the fool And when it's all said and done - Take the money & run!

Dumb Animals 03:16
VERSE 1 If you want to know your history Check the bottom of the sea Slaves threw themselves overboard And then they were free Slaves on another land Skipped the pleasantries They died on their feet Rather than serve on their knees What does that say about Them who rule How they treat mankind They don’t teach that in school How we treat Mother Earth Who let us stay a while Have we overstayed our welcome Every man, woman & child BRIDGE – We should’ve known better but We really fucked up We’re only here for a minute And we choose to hurt It’s taken a long time To make us this way We didn’t start like this On the first day CHORUS - Kings & Queens are Philistines They’re just Dumb Animals Popes & Priests are simple beasts Looking for survival Ministers scare you With lines from the bible All these heads, trick you Your neighbours are your rivals Pres-i-dent, hear his vent His lies keep you tribal They’re all dumb animals Hold them libel V2 Given the gift of all these emotions Blessed with thoughts And endless notions We can love! And express through art We’d stick to that If we were really that smart What does that say about Them who rule How they treat mankind They don’t teach that in school Why do we treat each other In that way? When no one owns this land Or this day! BRIDGE 2 - We should’ve known better but We really fucked up We’re only here for a minute And we choose to hurt Check ourselves Start again Dumb Animals Don’t be so vein CHORUS 2 Kings & Queens are Philistines They’re just Dumb Animals Popes & Priests are simple beasts Looking for survival Ministers scare you With lines from the Bible All these heads, trick you Your neighbours are your rivals Pres-i-dent, hear his vent His lies keep you tribal They’re just dumb animals Hold them libel Kings & Queens Popes & Priests Ministers & Bibles All of them lying to you Looking for survival Pres-i-dent, pays his rent Doesn’t care what he’s spent Lies to you, taxes me Hand on his bible Governments spend & spend Not on us, just on them Fear of God, put in us Just incase, we resent All they do, all they have All this shit, makes me mad All their lies, fucking us They’re just Dumb Animals They’re just Dumb Animals

One Year 04:14
V1 Mother to be Gives an eulogy Dad lays by her side Baby growing inside Life & death First & last breaths The two pass each other by I can only watch her cry Duty bound She turns it round In a cruel twist of fate This year she loves & she hates V2 A family on a boat Desperate for hope Few will find new land Children wash up on the sand Planes blown from the sky We still don't know why Still you smile For our unborn child Duty bound You turn it round In a cruel twist of fate This year she loves & she hates V3 A stranger smiles from a far As I put you in our car Mother strong by your side Daddy's strength inside Maya's here now Try and rest somehow Thank you baby We're a family now Duty bound You turned it round In a cruel twist of fate This year she loves & she hates

Toba 04:40
V1 We flee this land desperate Mother has claimed her back We seek asylum on a safer world Our future is now that. This furious God has spoken Through her spouted lava tongue Most have perished from her rage And no not what we've done She opened up and took us down No mercy ever shown We prayed to her for our lives Instead she took her throne TOBA A bigger danger faces us I can't believe my eyes The strong will now eat the weak No one to hear their cries What has become of us? I barely know myself The world I knew has crumbed down I'm only left with hell TOBA You test me Lord now answer me! I do what you ask Sacrifice and constant prayer Yet you've taken me to task The silence means nothing now I must protect myself Toba is still ravaging And fear is what she smells TOBA
7.
War of One 04:22
V1 You’re not happy, You’re not well Make it better, flowers to smell It’s not working out, who’s to blame? Other people? They’re just the same Who put that there? The seeds of hate Those who rule, & their running mates In this time, of the protest vote It’s all mirrors & smoke That’s when they pounce, off your fear Off your hate, on your tears You vote for them, sick of the same DisIllusioned now, their time to rein You’re close, but that’s not the one Guess again, It could be fun See them for what they are See yourself from a far See others like you and me Chorus The Secret War The War of One The War of One Will never be done The Secret War The War of One Monies to be made Selling guns The Secret War The War of One When the voted got rich The War was won The Secret War The War of One The War of One Will never be done Your right to choose Your right to muse See others like you and me V2 “We’re just the same, you & I” Dressed to kill, as an average guy “I’ll make it better, I’ll make it right Vote for me, I’ll win your fight” “I’ll win your fight”, you never had I’ll make up lies to make you mad Trust in me, you’ve tried the rest Read my lips, I’m the best Distract your mind, confuse your thoughts The enemy is close, is what you bought You need these things, the things I sell To protect your family & yourself It’s what they do & have always done Their fuel is fear, their conscience numb They name their price, because they can & from the beginning, that’s been their plan Chorus
8.
White Lies 02:28
V1 Everybody dies, Only God knows why. Some never wished to be born And our loved ones are left to mourn CHORUS Then it snows, and everything’s white God gave us life, and we don’t know why? A magical land in front of our eyes, Was it God, or Mans White Lies? V2 Why are we here? Mans greatest fear The truth is no-one knows It’s beautiful when it snows CHORUS Then it snows and everything’s white God gave us life and we don’t know why? A magical land in front of our eyes Was it God or Mans White lies? Was it God or Mans White lies? Was it God or Mans White lies? Mans White lies….
9.
V1 ‘Better Together’, tearing us apart Open your eyes, open your heart Believe in yourself, believe in a nation Tonight we decide, tomorrow sensation! Tonight we decide, tomorrow sensation! Read all about it! But not from one source Feel it around you, take action, no remorse What's good for you? What's good for us? Do your thing! For better or worse. Do your thing! For better or worse. Chorus. Stand up! Stand up for yourself! For me, & your brothers and sisters! Be true to yourself What's your morals? Together we stand I love Tomorrow! V2 What’s good for the goose, Is good for the gander Each side they cry, ‘lies’ & ‘slander’ They say attack, best form of defense Tonight we decide, get off the fence! Tonight we decide, get off the fence! Chorus I Love Tomorrow!
10.
Vows 04:22
V1 If I come to be with you I can’t promise I'll be true I've lived my life, my own way It's all I've known, to love & play I am a man, for that I'm sure For better or worse & rich or poor How many times have I been fooled? Not by you, my heart she rules I don’t trust myself no more I won’t burst my head no more No pity, and don't be fooled That's what he wants, my pulse he's cruel. Take me for what I am Or I'll take you for all you've got Let us pray it don't come to that And this has all just been bad thoughts CHORUS These are my Vows My Vows to you This is my truth To get me through This is my way To keep me true These are my Vows My Vows to you These are my Vows My Vows to you This is my truth To get me through This is my way To keep me true These Vows. 2/ We lie in bed, you stroke my chest You lie to me, that I'm the best How many men, been in your bed? You'd kill to know, what's in my head. We kid ourselves, this is love To ease the guilt, for what it is I'll chase that part until I'm done I crave that time, the part that's fun CHORUS

about

The concept behind ‘Cowboys & Africans’ is that all humans originate from Africa (at one point in history) so as laymen, we are all ‘Africans’. The ‘Cowboys’ reference is to the people in positions of power, who take advantage of the everyday person (or those they have power over). The songs challenge how we see ourselves in today’s society. The message is quite simple – be proud of who you are, your friends, family and fellow humans. Stand up for what you believe in and have the con dence not to be bullied by peer pressure or general opinion
