about
“1985”, THE LEAD SINGLE FROM ‘CAFOLLA’S DEBUT SOLO ALBUM – “COWBOYS & AFRICANS”.
CAFOLLA’S debut solo record ‘Cowboys & Africans’, focuses on lyrics & song. The concept behind ‘Cowboys & Africans’ is that all humans originate from Africa (at one point in history) so as laymen, we are all ‘Africans’. The ‘Cowboys’ reference is to the people in positions of power, who take advantage of the everyday person (or those they have power over). The songs challenge how we see ourselves in today’s society. The message is quite simple – be proud of who you are, your friends, family and fellow humans. Stand up for what you believe in and have the confidence not to be bullied by peer pressure or general opinion.
The album was recorded throughout 2018 and completed January 2019.
lyrics
Skyscrapers replaced the Pyramids, in 1985
Reaganomics feeds consumerism, what a time to be alive
The slaves still build their temples, under the watchful illuminati eye Worked to death direct from the orders, of the old rich white guys!
Got no money,
Got no friends,
Got no nothing,
Got no chance,
They live!
We Sleep,
They're rich,
We're cheap!
Thatcher Snatched my Milk, back in 1985,
Broke my country into pieces, fed us lie after lie
Does this all seem familiar in 2019?
Nothing will ever change, when God still saves the Queen!
Got no money,
Got no friends,
Got no nothing,
Got no chance,
They live!
We Sleep,
They're rich,
We're cheap!
